Lantana is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is 37 miles north from Fort Lauderdale. This town is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The population was 10,423 at the 2010 United States Census.

Lantana is situated just south of Lake Worth and has an old Florida charm to the area. Although Lantana is a small city, there’s plenty of attractions within a close drive or Uber fare. Lantana Public Beach and Eau Spa make up the majority of the beach area in Lantana; the Lantana Municipal Beach park is a great place to meet with friends or cook up a BBQ with family. Don’t expect a “big and wide” beach as Lantana does not feature the typical beach but has plenty of room to sunbathe, go snorkeling, and catch some waves surfing.

Oldest Community, Rich History

The first settlers came after Congress passed the Armed Occupation Act in 1842 at the end of the Seminole Wars.
